Dr.Phil Gibbard visits PRI with his student.Dr. Phil is a Quaternary geologist and has been Professor of Quaternary Palaeoenvironments in the University of Cambridge, Department of Geography.He was awarded the Geological Society's 'Lyell Fund prize' in April 1999 'for excellence in Quaternary geology.






Interaction with Australian Scientist. Allan Chivas has been Foundation Professor of Geosciences at the University of Wollongong.He is currently chairman of the Archaeology and Geosciences Committee of the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE)he is also a co-leader of IGCP Project 464, Continental Shelves during the Last Glacial Cycle.
